Camp Establishment

When a campsite has been appointed to you, you can put up your tents as you wish.

Remember the fire regulations state that there must be at least 3 meters between the tents and the nearest open fire, including cookers. The size of your camp depend on how many persons you are and what kind of pioneering you have planned.

All tents should however be placed in accordance with the valid fire regulations.

The fire places have to be at least 1.5 m x 1.5 m and be board up with wood around the edge.

The marked fire paths / fire breaks have to be kept clear and tidy.

Fire Equipment

The accessible fire equipment is only to be used in case of fire. The manual fire pumps and fire buckets must always be full of water. At each tent and fireplace there has to be a bucket with water and a fire beater. Buckets and fire beaters are available at the Tool-shed. If the fire brigade has to be alarmed - please contact a Drejer.

Closing the Camp

The fire place has to be cleaned of wood and large stones, the turfs must be placed 5 cm above ground level and watered. Extra soil for covering holes is available close to the parking area. Excess wood that is partly burnt must be placed outside the shelter with dry firewood. Borrowed tools must be returned to the Tool-shed and scout's poles placed at the right shelves in the Timber Yard. The camp must be cleaned for litter and before you leave the campsite, a Drejer has to approve its condition.

Parking

Please use the special parking area - cars are not permitted on the campsite.

On the day of arrival and departure you are however allowed, to drive to the campsite in order to load and unload your car.

“Your Own Drejer"

Each scout group is given a Contact Drejer who will guide the group around the Centre the first day. During the summer camp the Contact Drejer will daily be in contact with you in order to answer questions and help you if you have any problems.

Lost Property

The box containing lost property is placed in the Møllehjul. Every morning at the gathering the lost property will hopefully find their right owners.

Evening Meetings

Every evening a meeting is held in the Møllehjul for all the leaders. At this meeting we will discuss the events of the day, those of next day, and the arrangements in general. Remember to bring a cup since there will be tea and coffee available.

Wake-up Call

Around 7 am the Drejere wake up the entire camp. In case your group has been on a morning walk or just want to lie in and therefore not want to be disturbed, please notify one of the "Drejere" the evening before at our evening meeting.
