Remember however to bring your own equipment, such as ropes and tools for pioneering, to the summer camp. If you do not have enough equipment yourselves, you may borrow it from the Tool-shed.
Should you choose to buy rope, the
Tool-shed sells it in coils. The Tool-shed is open every day from 9.15 am to noon and again from 2 pm to 5.30 pm.
When tools and materials are borrowed they are registered on a number system and must be returned after use to the Tool-shed.
Should some of your equipment brake during the camp, the Tool-shed will be helpful with possible repair.
Furthermore, the Tool-shed has barbecues you can borrow and some bikes which leaders may borrow to go to e.g. Tistrup.
In the well-stocked Timber Yard, you will find stems from 0.5 m to 9 m. The stems can be used freely for pioneering, if you do not saw or chop in them. Furthermore the Timber Yard has a small selection of cordages to your disposal.
It is also here the lifejackets are kept, which you must use when you go Hiking by Raft.
Outside the Timber Yard there are some trolleys which belong to the centre and which may be used for transporting materials. You are not allowed to ride the trolleys. Please return the trolleys after use.
Next to the Tool-shed and the Timber Yard there is a shelter with dry firewood. Please do not take more firewood than you need. It is a good idea to bring a firewood economy cooker to the summer camp. The centre also has some cookers, which you may borrow.
The Møllehjulet is the place for indoor gatherings. Here you can gather around the fire, talk to your friends and have a pleasant time. The Møllehjulet is open day and night, except between
8 - 9 am, noon - 1 pm and 6 - 8 pm, where the Møllehjulet is used by the Drejerne and for the scout leaders' evening meeting.
The Centre's mailbox (outgoing mail) is placed in the Møllehjulet and emptied every day.
The shop at the centre is called Tutten and is also placed in the Møllehjulet. It has a large selection of candy, ice-cream, sodas, postcards + stamps, T-shirts and Assenbækmølle badges.
